Milwaukee bit set March 15, 2008 John (California) Pros: Excellent set. Has all the main things you would want in a bit set. Particularly nice (and often missing in other bit sets) are the extension and the 1/4" and 3/8" socket adapters. The quick-change head is nice if you use a regular drill instead of one that has the hex shank head. Also the case is very nice. Cons: It would be nice to have more variety. Instead of 10 Phillips #2, give me some hex head bits. Also, I think this would be better without the drill bits (instead offer more variety like hex head and torx). If you are going to be drilling, get a full set of 28 or so drill bits. That way you can have one very complete set of fastener bits, and one very complete set of drill bits, instead of one that tries to do just a little of both. My complaints are true of most bit sets. This is still a 5 star set.
Another Great Milwaukee Product March 13, 2008 Justin Tait (Chicago, IL) This is a great set for a great price. Solid construction case and tools. Highly recommended!
Drilling and Driving Set March 3, 2008 Norman K. Jensen (Springfield, IL) Great little kit that has many attachments and works with many other quick lock tools.
Poor quality bits, poor customer service March 3, 2008 James A. Heard (San Francisco, California USA) 12 out of 14 found this review helpful
One of these bits snapped off on the second use, and I've used it only to drill into douglas fir, avoiding any knots. Worse still, Milwaukee customer service does not live up to the company's vaunted reputation. I sent the bit to the local authorized service center, as directed by the website, only to be told the Milwaukee warranty doesn't cover bits. Not satisfied, I contacted the company directly, who said they would cover it if it was defective, but I'd have to send it to the regional service center (not the same place I sent it already). I contacted the place I sent it to originally, but have not been able to get them to return it to me (despite having enclosed a return envelope, postage prepaid, when I sent it to them). All in all, I would say the entire experience has been very disappointing, and I will not buy another Milwaukee bit. By the way, do not imagine that you are buying domestic just because of the name - like nearly everything else, these bits are made in China.
Not great February 28, 2008 Tim Bauer 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
The package contains several bits that come in handy, but the 1/4" drill bit broke on the first use. I rate the quality of the drill bits as having poor metal quality. The hex bits are OK. However, I will not buy another kit like this from Milwaukee.
