Cute and Fun Toy! August 25, 2008 Karen M. Robinson (North Carolina) I LOVE Step 2 Products and found this same one at Toys R Us on Clearance since it was end of the summer so only paid $20.00! Worth every penny. I had been reading reviews on this and was concerned how some reviews stated it was cheaper plastic and had complaints about the water wheel not staying attached. This has not been a problem for us at all. We got this for my 16 mth old and love that it does not take up alot of space since our deck is small. The round tub area is just as thick as the Step 2 Play Kitchens...the legs are not as thick but very durable and not cheap plastic by any means. It took about 5 mint. to put together...no tools required:) As for the water wheel...I noticed there are holes that look like you could screw it into the plastic to keep it attached if you wanted to. We have not done that since my little one has not figured out it comes off yet. We put some of her bath toys in there that has the different stackable straining cups and she has a blast! Does not have a drain plug so you do have to empty it yourself...which is easy as can be...light enough for an adult to pick up but too heavy for a child to tip over. During the winter we plan on bringing it inside and filling it with rice for indoor play. I give this product 5 Stars :)
The Perfect Summer Toy August 17, 2008 L.A,. Mom (Los Angeles, CA) Both my 2 year old and almost 4 year old LOVE this toy! It's so much fun - totally inexpensive - and worth every penny. From kids who are just learning to stand to kids who have been walking and running for years, this is a great toy. So glad we bought it!
6 months and counting... August 13, 2008 L. Worick we bought this for our daughter on a whim when she was 18 mo's old because we have a very small backyard. we bought it in march of this year -- its now august and i can count on one hand how many days she hasnt gone outside to play with it. there's not much to it either. it's basically a glorified bucket with water in it ... but she LOVES it, her friends love it and we do, too. it's easy to care for, and a GREAT size for very small backyards. only recommendation to maker is a childproof plug that you could pull to help empty out the water.
Waterwheel Play Table August 12, 2008 Patricia A. Gibbons (Kingston, NY) I got one of these at a yard sale for my grandchild and she loved it as well as the little children who came over to play with her. It was fabulous, but after a winter outside, the plastic did crack, and I had to throw it out. But then again, I don't know how many winters it spent outside before me. I bought this one on Amazon for my sister's little toddlers, and they too love it. It is nice because you don't have to put a ton of water in it, they can splash about in it, keeping cool, and floating their boats, and watching how the water wheel works. If my grandchildren come back east again, I would consider buying another one for them! (but find somewhere to store it in winter!)
A simple, wonderful little activity table ... August 2, 2008 A. Bishop (Vermont) My toddler son loves his WaterWheel! I put this together in (literally) 5 minutes, and whenever we go outside he always asks to play with it. A great, inexpensive toy that provides a LOT of entertainment.
