My son is almost nine months old and this was his first pool. He loves to be in the water! The sun shade is really worth it. We live in an apartment on the back side of a building, so we get a lot of direct sun, we just turned the shade toward it, and he hasn't gotten burned or anything. This is a great value and a really fun toy!

After only using this pool 3 times, it developed a hole on the seam. Where the hole was located it was not repairable with a patch.

We bought this pool, it had a hole. Tried to patch it, still leaked. Returned it, got a new one. It had the same hole! Unless you like using things once and throwing them away, I wouldn't buy this pool!

I just bought this for my 10 month old son and he LOVES it! We place it on the grass and don't find the bottom slippery at all like one of the other reviewers. The bottom is textured, not smooth and is never slippery. It's even big enough for me to get in too for supervision! :) We have a blast splashing around! A definite great first pool!
