Average product June 12, 2008 Rohan B (NJ) I thought of this as a nice present for my toddler girl. However she chewed on one of the blocks (they are cardboard ones) in the first 2-3 days so its definitely not durable or good for toddlers who like to put everything in their mouth. Secondly, it does not have lid for easy compact storage and handling. That would definitely be a value addition for the product. The design is attractive but no cardboard please !!!
An Okay toy June 11, 2008 M. Mendonca (NY) I got this for my 2 year old daughter.she played with it continuously for 3 hours when she first got it..and gives it a go every now and then since then.As for educational value..she does not care whats written on them. She mastered how to nest them but doesnt like stacking at all.She did not even look at the picture also even though i tried showing them to her I suppose this toy would do well for a smaller child only as a fun toy not as an educational one.Overall an okay toy for the price
Very sturdy compared to other nesting block sets June 8, 2008 T Rose (New York) My daughter loves nesting blocks. We've gone through several sets already because she's a little rough with them. I ordered this set and was very pleased with the quality. The boxes seem much thicker and stronger than the boxes we've had in the past. The colors are bright and the pictures are cute.
nesting blocks! May 31, 2008 Molecular Mom Michelle (SF Bay area) Teaches the alphabet, animal recognition & how to count while enhancing hand/eye coordination & motor skills? - well that description isn't likely true - however, my child IS learning proportion and size comparison, and stacking and nesting with these brightly colored boxes, which is great for a 1 year old (he has no idea what the pictures and numbers represent )- the corners are already worn from 2 months of use (it is heavy paper/cardboard stock) - but he has fun, and the price is right. buy 2 or 3 sets at that price, and free shipping, and when they get too ratty, recycle them with the paper and pull out another set!
Great toy May 24, 2008 PinkPunch (Fort Worth, TX United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have this for our daughter and she loves it. It was a gift, but I would say the $5 sale price is a deal. The colors are vivid and she likes to stack them up and knock them over. The four sides each have a theme that goes all the way up the stack.
