Our oldest wants a real dog, so was excited about the collie. We had no problems setting it up on the computer because we already had an account. Be careful though when setting up an account. Our 7 year old was extremely dissappointed when something went wrong with the set-up and there is no way to fix it, so we were never able to get our very first webkinz on the computer to play with it. That is a flaw in their system. Also you should be aware that the computer game access is only free for one year, then a parent must pay a subscription fee for the child to continue playing online!(This is not disclosed when you buy the toy, only after). All in all the kids love webkinz.

Twix (my collie's name) was a big surprise to me. But I instantly fell in love with it and play with it to this day. Although the hair can be a bit irritating since it is so stringy, you constantly have to brush it to make it look good. Oh, and if you ever want to wash it, DO NOT put it in the washer and dryer. All it does is poof up the hair and it refuses to go back to normal. But a great toy none the less and a great pet for young ones!

But others can just stop at the pharmacy and pick one up. Anyhoo, highly recommended and adorable. On it's face, they used the same material as the kangaroo's. It has a fake leather nose, and bead eyes with thin, light-brown irises on the sides. Watch the video please!

My daughter has spent countless hours playing with this toy. The educational value comes from the video link to the games on the Internet. (Without computer access, the educational value disappears.) That we own a collie is part of the attraction, I'm sure. The games, however, have taught her a lot about taking care of pets as well as other skills. I'd much rather she spent her money on toys like this instead of regular stuffed animals.
