Product Description The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece is a simple and effective oral device for use in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Made of special soft feel plastic it comes ready to use. There is no heating or moulding required to achieve a correct fit and you still continue to breathe through your mouth. The SnoreWizard moves the lower jaw slightly forward and holds the mouth slightly open. This improves the airflow at the back of the throat and eliminates snoring in most cases. The Snore Wizard was developed by a dental surgeon and the product has undergone numerous clinical trials in which it was found to reduce snoring and sleep apnea in 94% of research subjects. The Snore Wizard was designed to increase the space behind the tongue by bringing the lower jaw (mandible) forward, opening the airway in the throat and eliminating snoring. Why Most People Snore Normally air passes through the throat to the lungs silently and unhindered. In snorer's however, fatty tissue, tonsils and adenoids can narrow passageways, creating turbulence that makes the throat tissue vibrate. The problem can be exacerbated by excess body weight and/or excessive alcohol consumption prior to sleeping. Snoring has nothing to do with the nostrils. How To Best Prevent Snoring Snoring will not occur if the airway in the throat remains open. This can be accomplished by holding your lower jaw slightly forward during sleep. This is the exact reason that The Snore Wizard was invented. Snoring problems and the more severe form, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) are common problems found in many households. OSAS is the most well manifested form of snoring diseases in which the affected person stops breathing during sleep due to an obstruction of the airway passage towards the lungs. Due to sleeping problems the affected individuals perform day time activities at a very reduced level, which gives rise to a wide range of problems, both from a medical and a social behavioral point

snore wizard rave review November 17, 2008 Lee A. Mcavoy (Rochester NY) The Snore Wizard has improved my husbands snoring by about 95% when nothing else helped. We are both sleeping peacefully. Thanks so much
one size does NOT fit all November 13, 2008 L. Borowski 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product does mold to fit your teeth and jaw pattern. I found that it put unequal pressure on my teeth. Upon awakening, some of my teeth were sore. Eating hard toast hurt my teeth. An MD cautioned me about products such as this since they can affect your bite. Since this product does not mold to your teeth, you will not know if it will work for you. The kicker is that it is not returnable for "hygenic reasons." If the company really believes that their product will fit everyone comfortably, they would be willing to not hesitate to give refunds for appliances that do not fit comfortably.

The Snore Wizard took me a week to get used too. br /Week 1 - Jaw discomfort/slightly sore teeth upon waking br /Week 2 - No more jaw or tooth discomfort br /Week 3 - Like wearing nothing at all br / br /PROS br /1) Allows partner to sleep without interruption br /2) Reduced my daytime sleepiness br /3) Great price compared to products from the dentist br /4) Type of plastic is very flexible and strong br /5) Easily stores with convenient holder br / br /CONS br /1) Edges are abrasive to the gums (in some areas) at first for myself br /2) Product only lasts up to 9 months according to packaging br /3) Must sleep on side for it to be most effective for myself - This is in the directions for use br /4) Initially - I found the product to come loose - your mouth seems to adjust to this after a few weeks
Still snoring, but softer November 2, 2008 Matt the Techie (Suburban NYC, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It does work in bringing the jaw forward and preventing back of the throat snoring, however I am snoring now from the point where my nose connects to my throat (uvula). As this is quieter and allows more air into my lungs this is an improvement, but it is just a temporary solution until the paperwork goes through on a cpap machine. br / br /My gums are a little sore from the edges of the rubber, but not to the point that eating or drinking is uncomfortable. My mouth gets very dry two or three times a week from breathing through the front hole instead of my nose, but that is less painful than snoring. br / br /I put it and the storage case through a cycle on my dishwasher, and it is still intact. I do that once a week for a thorough cleaning, and use rinsing with a little listerine rubbed on it during the week to keep it after daily use. br / br /I have only had one time that I found the mouthpiece next to the pillow in my bed, so I am able to keep it in. I had a bit of jaw pain that went away after a week or so from using it, but every morning it takes 10 to 15 minutes for my jaw to move back to its normal position where my teeth fit together properly. No problem, as I am getting dressed, etc. during that time period.
Doesn't help at all November 2, 2008 Kevin Hobart 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered one of these and tried it for 1 week. Not only did it not help my snoring, I wake up in the middle of the night drowning in my own drool and in the morning I feel as if I was kicked in the jaw by a horse. Throughout the day it takes about 4 hours for my jaw to stop hurting. This was an absolute horrible experience.
