Electronically powered - no hum, Uses only 85 watts - no heat, Power : Universal - Lamp automatically selects from 110-270 volts, 50 or 60 hz. is the advertised power capacity with this device. br / br /Unfortunately the device that you will be sent is clearly labeled for 110v only use. Don't plan on using outside of the U.S. and don't plan on any help from the company. Despite several emails to resolve the issue the company, several weeks later, has yet to reply. I have no way to rate the actual product as 220v 50 hz would most likely destroy it.

After a very thorough search and comparison, we ordered the Day Light lamp through Amazon. It arrived in just 2 days! We are extremely happy with the Day Light lamp. First because it's made with solid and durable materials. It's also engineered for simple use and offers you much more functionality than other brands. It's much more reasonably priced than Verilux and best of all the replacement bulbs (3 pack bulb) only costs $19 through the manufacturer which is much cheaper than what Verilux charges for theirs ($50). When looking for these types of lamps, make sure that they have a UV filter lens to protect you from dangerous UV rays. This product does have a strong UV filter lens. We highly recommend it over all other brands.

The service received from the vendor was great, but not as great as the lamp itself! I approached this purchase with skepticism, but was amazed after just 4 hours of usage (1 hour each morning) at my ability to get out of bed! It has really helped me and in a surprisingly short amount of time - awesome!

I only wish I had purchased my daylight light sooner .It has made a very positive difference in my life.This model is also good as a desk lamp when not being used on 10,000luxe setting.Friends have asked my opinion and I have suggested this lamp to them.Boston is a great city to live in and has just gotten better.As I write this review we are receiving a substantial snowstorm ...

Puget Sounders of four decades, we recently returned from a year in Nebraska where the winters are much colder but bright. The impact of our familiar gloom was depressing. br /The Day Light was just the remedy we needed. And Amazon had the best price. But be careful. Amazon offered three very different prices from three venders. You should be able to get one with tax and shipping for under $150. And it will be worth every cent.
