They are soft and plyable and therefore fit any aching area. They come in all sizes too. I have 3 in my freezer at all times and they get a lot of use (be sure to get the nylatex wraps to hold them on). They remain cold for more than the 20 minutes recommended for most applications of cold.
Best gel pack to reduce swelling. August 27, 2008

After having 2 total knee replacements, I ordered 4 of these gel packs to assist in reducing the swelling after exercise. After receiving them, pop them in the freezer over night and use them the next day. Wrap each pack in a light-weight towel, and use for 20 to 30 minutes to relieve post work-out swelling and pain throughout the day. They are soft enough to be slightly molded to the shape of the leg. An excellent product, delivered fast.

Polyurethane feels great at all temperatures, pack molds well to affected area. High quality product replacing same product that finally broke down after 10 years of use. Try to keep them in the freezer at all times when they are not in use. I found that the stuff inside tends to evaporate(?) if you leave it out for extended periods of time. Noticed this when I compared the new product with the old one that I was replacing. br / br /I have used vinyl wrapped products and stuff that had a liquid in them. None of it works as well as this product. It isn't too cold to put directly on the affected area, and it keeps cold longer than other stuff I've used. br / br /Highly recommended!

This cold pack is NOT your cheap local drug store pack. It is the best quality product on the market. The gel inside gets just the right temperature. The freezer will leave a little frost on the outside of the pack, but if you put a light dishtowel it is the perfect temperature. This is the same pack my physical therapist and chiropractor use. You won't be disappointed.
