Product Description "American WHEY PROTEIN, made fresh in Wisconsin, is 100% natural and specially ultrafiltered under low temperature to be low in fat, lactose and carbohydrates. American WHEY PROTEIN is a rich source of glutamine and biologically active proteins. Fifty-one per cent of the proteins found in whey are from BLG (Beta-Lactoglobulin), 20% of whey is ALG (Alpha-Lactalbumin), 10% Immunoglobulin, 10% Albumin and 7% minor fractions (Beta-Microglobulin, lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase, lysozyme, lactollin and relaxin), Albumin is of particular interest to researchers because of its elevated concentrations of glutamylcysteine, a precursor to the antioxidant glutathione. American WHEY PROTEIN is the richest natural source of BCAAs (Isoleucine, Leucine and Valine), important components of muscle tissue. BCAAs are depleted from muscle tissue following strenuous exercise, which can cause catabolic loss of muscle tissue. BCAAs suppress proteolysis (muscle loss). BCAAs have been known to improve perform"

good stuff August 25, 2008 Joey The Squash (New Jersey, USA) This stuff tastes a lot like powdered milk, so if you mix it with milk you'll barely taste it. It's not too gloppy, either - give it a good stir and it dissolves easily enough. If you're looking for a protein powder without any artificial sweeteners, this is a good choice.
Really Great! February 12, 2007 I. A Harding 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is the first protien powder I found. I thought it was OK. I tried others, they did not dissolve as well, had more gunk in them I didn't need, and tasted bad. Really, you can drink it with just water. It tastes like milk, mostly. Easy to get used to. I usually put it in milk. Another thing, this is not just for bodybuilding. I had a nagging shoulder injury for months, after I started taking extra protien, it healed rapidly. It really does make a difference for soft tissue injuries. I also find that it kills my appetite. It's 100 calories (180 with milk), but I don't feel like eating anything else for hours. Check the nutrition info, and how well it dissolves; this is the only choice.
