Offer Not As Stated August 24, 2008 Mark J. Fritts Offer states to purchase a Kodak Easyshare ESP-3 Printer and 3 black and 2 color ink cartridges and receive a $40.00 discount at checkout. This is not accurate. No discount taken. Kodak website does this offer without problem but charges for shipping. Hopefully Amazon.com will correct or hello Kodak.com.
Careful when ordering an ESP3 Kodak Printer August 24, 2008 Jan Claire (Oakhurst, CA USA) Take my advice: avoid this printer if you use Windows ME as it will not install on those computers. Nowhere did I see technical information on Amazon about needing to use Windows XP to install the printer. (Don't know why that should be a factor for a printer, anyway.). Only as I was installing it it did say to download the Win ME software, so I did. It wouldn't install, instead giving messages like "previously installed software, click here" and after 45 clicks I understood nothing was happening so I cancelled out of the install process. I'm going to give the printer to a friend who has XP. Not worth the time and trouble. Find another brand printer...and make sure it'll work on Win ME!
Piece of junk August 14, 2008 Jennifer M (St Paul, MN) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this printer because I needed to do many copies for some legal reasons. I also scrapbook and thought it would be wonderful for this! However I have been extremely disappointed with this plastic piece of junk. I have had to email Kodak every day since I got it with a new problem. The scanner function has never worked. This product will be returned and I will never purchase a Kodak product again. Not even worth one star.
Great all-in-one for home use August 10, 2008 Jean Luc (TX USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had the printer for about 2.5 months now and haven't had any problems. Had it set up and working in a matter of minutes. Some other reviewers seem unhappy about its lack of bluetooth or that it doesn't have a USB cable in the box. This didn't bother me because I wasn't expecting it to be bluetooth compatible, and I knew it didn't have the USB cable in the box. Pros: - Easy set up. Installed drivers from CD, plugged in USB cable, worked like a charm. - Prints fast - I love having scanning and copying capabilities built in. Have used both and it worked just fine. - Inexpensive ink Cons: - Louder than most printers (I have seen other reviewers comment on this as well) - The paper tray design is a little weird. The output paper almost lies on top of the input paper. Seems to work fine for smaller print jobs but my guess is that it wouldn't for larger print jobs. - Copying/scanning must be done one page at a time. But this is typical of most home printers. - Would be nice to have automatic duplex printing. But most home printers don't. So if you're looking for a high end professional office printer for high volume copying, duplex printing, etc., then this probably isn't the printer for you. If you need a decent home printer/scanner/copier it works great.
Printer issues July 19, 2008 R. Gee 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have been extremely disappointed with this printer. Consistently, I receive Error 3802 - whatever that means. Essentially, the printer prints once and then I get an error that requires me to turn the machine on and off and recalibrate. Who has time for that? Wasted my money.
