This is a good printer. August 22, 2008 DARKSKY (West Texas) But I can't believe the sudden price jump to $199.99 on Amazon! It is still only $149.99 plus tax, with free shipping, when ordered directly from the HP site.
A Printer for All Seasons August 20, 2008 Richard A. Hendry (New Wilmington, PA) I purchased the HP Photosmart C6280 recently and was waiting for time to hook it up to my computer (XP). My son came over to visit and I mentioned that I had got a new printer but hadn't taken the time to install it (I secretly hoped he would volunteer to do it). He had it out of the box and I was printing with it within a half hour. So I concluded that it didn't give any problems during a simple installation. I then decided to print some 4 x 6 photos with it. It has a separate little container for photo paper. It took approximately 90 seconds to get a good quality print. For those with children there are a number of "School Papers" available. One can print graph paper, music staffs, mazes and a variety of ruled paper sheets. I think if you like HP products, this one would be a good one at a good price.
Awesome All-in-One HP printer August 11, 2008 W. Uncapher (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) I know why I keep going back to Hewlett-Packard brand printers! They are the BEST! The HP C6280 is an awesome printer, scanner, copier all in one. I shopped around and Amazon has the best price and FREE shipping! The HP C6280 is very well constructed, hook-up is super easy. Very good instructions and even a step by step hook up video guide on the LCD screen, very cool! I had it up and running in less than 30 min. I run Windows XP. Does a great job at scanning, copying and the photos are very good. This machine is a steal at $135 and change. And hey it's "NOT" made in China, way to go HP. I looked at Canon, Brother, Epson and Kodak. This HP was a no brainer! Some others were O.K. but not as good as HP. Heck even the box and packaging materials are very sturdy. This machine is very simple to use, and love the on screen LCD readout, if you're a dummy just read and follow along, it's great! The biggest advantage is the new HP Vivera ink cartridges, this baby has six. So it can produce more accurate colors than Tri-color cartridges. The biggest plus is the cost savings on ink! Each color cartridge is about $10.50! And you only have to replace the one that is empty. No ink wasted! Consumer Reports rated it as one of the lowest printing cost per page or photo! Both in color and in black and white. Oh yeah, the black and white text on this baby rivals high end laser printers! You have to buy this HP, you can't go wrong, it's a lot of BANG FOR THE BUCK!
Rock On HP !! August 3, 2008 R. Thompson (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
OK, I'll admit that I cheat and read everyone else's rewiews, complaints, recommendations, and lessons learned BEFORE I buy, so I have a lot less problems with it than some have mentioned. As recommended I print on Fast Economy and it does look great. The photos are beautiful, and the duplexer works like magic. I was looking for a document printer that also does photos - this was it. The wireless bit isn't important to me so I'm hard wired into the PC. No glitches on installation and the card slots, scanner, and copier all work great. I'm happy as can be with this baby.
HP C6280 - Good Machine July 19, 2008 Gordon N. Stach (Woodland Park, Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Noisy when starting up, but does a good print job. Haven't had it long enough to critique all the features, but am satisfied with my experience to this point.
