Midland Weather Alert Radio July 22, 2008 Cat Lover 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is great for people who live in areas where alert sirens are not available, or easy to hear. Easy to program and use. Alerts can be specific to your needs so that you don't have to hear all alerts for all surrounding areas and conditions. We now know when a severe thunderstorm or tornado is approaching.
Midland NOAA radio July 21, 2008 J Braze Easy to program, compact size, allows you to listen to alerts in your area. We now have 2 radios in our family. This one was purchased for another family member.
Works Great July 20, 2008 Mack Twain (Omaha, NE USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We've had a lot of storms in the midwest this spring and summer (2008) some with tornados, others with tornado type winds. We own other weather radios, but bought this unit specifically because you can eliminate the some of the alerts. When we used our old / other radios we were woke in the middle of the night only to hear of a thunderstorm watch maybe 3-4 times through the night. This radio prevents a sleepless night while letting you feel confident you will only be woken by an alert you programmed the radio to alert you to.
Great buy for a great price July 19, 2008 Jeanie Jacks (FL United States) All the features you need, yet very simple to set up and use. I am very pleased with this purchase and the price was right.
