Bonanza Review August 29, 2008 Cayin R (Virginia) I thoroughly enjoyed these DVDs and have watched them repeatedly since I received them. It is so refreshing to watch family programming that reflects good values, humor and adventure. I was so glad to fine that "The Crucible" was included.

I Forgot July 18, 2008 K.D. Christensen 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I forgot how good this show was, especially the very early episodes presented on this set. They are thoroughly enjoyable. From seeing "Frank Nitti" from The Untouchables as an Indian chief to the violence of war with the Indians, this is not your ordinary western!
Good Buy February 15, 2008 H. Worthy 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This DVD would be worth the money for THE CRUCIBLE alone. The 5 season 1 episodes are very interesting in that they show Virginia City and the Cartwrights at the beginning when everything was new. Several of the episodes were based on actual events in and around Virginia City during that era. The two other "showcase" episodes (ANY FRIEND OF WALTERS and A BULLET FOR A BRIDE) for Hoss and Little Joe are also very good. The quality is good and many will appreciate having the original theme song in each episode. A good buy for a Bonanza fan or anyone wanting good, clean entertainment for the whole family.
Old memories November 22, 2007 T. Heldenbrand (Jeonju, South Korea) This is Bonanza. What more can you say? It's definitely more of a male show than a female show but still well done. It's good, classic T.V. Worth the money.
