1 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE product   May 2, 2006

I purchased this emachines through Best Buy 1 1/2 yrs ago. I have had many computers in my lifetime and this one has been the most disappointing to me. The motherboard shorted out/blew the other day and now I am left with a piece of junk. After talking to many people I work with, I find out I am not the only one with issues exactly as this one. Now I am completely out of luck and the $500 I spent! I will never purchase an emachines again! Yesterday, I ordered a Dell, let's see how that one behaves!

Luckily, customer service is nice, but they didn't fix this computer!

5 out of 5 stars Good bang for your buck   October 14, 2005

I am quite satisfied with my purchase of the EMachines T5010. It replaced my 4 year old HP desktop (practically prehistoric by todays standards) and I cant tell you how happy I am with the performance. I really didnt expect much but after the quick set up I was impressed with the speed. My only gripe is the annoying inclusion of AOL and McAffee intro programs which I quickly obliterated. I purchased my PC package at Circuit City for the same price as Amazons, but Circuit City included the EMachines 17f3 flat panel monitor and a Canon Pixma iP1600 printer for free after rebates. A great deal.
