Product Description The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router is three devices in one. The Wireless Access Point lets you connect both Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. All your computers can print on a shared printer connected anywhere in the house. Your computers can share all kinds of music, digital picture, and document files. The Wi-Fi Protected Setup feature makes it easy to configure your wireless devices. Just push the button on the Router and on your other Wi-Fi Protected Setup enabled wireless device to automatically create a WPA2 connection that protects your data and privacy with up to 256-bit industrial-strength encryption. The Router can serve as a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, supports VPN pass-through, and can be configured to filter internal users' access to the Internet. Advanced configuration is a snap with the web-browser-based interface. No issues so far October 9, 2008 Samir Khan (Palatine, IL) I had a TRENDnet router before i purchased this one.....I am impressed by the eaasy setup and so far it has been working fine with no glitches to note....Overall much better than TRENDnet...
its ok i guess October 7, 2008 Julissa Rodriguez (Ausin, TX) its an ok device. it is my first time purchasing a router so i did not know what expect... overall it works well except it does not have a magnificent speed but i believe that is our internet provider's fault...who knows... cuz i dont :)
No sweat October 7, 2008 Tom Leighton (Minneapolis, MN United States) I'm reasonably competent w/ computer stuff but hadn't done a home network yet. So I was expecting to work through some technical setup stuff when I got this. But I was happy that there was very little to do to get it up and running. And it worked well right off the bat.
Great basic router October 5, 2008 C. Peterson I bought this for my dorm room and it works very well. It has a good range for its type, though it seems to be slightly shorter than my friend's Netgear one (although this could just be because of room arrangements). Had one issue where it gave only local access, but the old unplug-replug trick worked and I haven't had any other problems. The size and shape are very convenient since it can sit in a small out-of-the-way place. It's also very easy to set up.
It's neat October 3, 2008 yvsuraj (Chicago, IL) It's a nice product. Easy set-up (good instructions included). Looks great without any antennas sticking out.
