Just for trash January 4, 2007 Luis Dardon (Quetgo, Guatemala) This product don't work propertly, i try cover guaranty in a local technical service, but say the product is category C don't have any guaranty. This product just for trash.
ViewSonic pocket PC June 15, 2006 D. Rostochil (OKC, OK) I've had two ViewSonic pocket PCs and have never had one problem with either of them. I'm not a techy person -- just use them for contacts and calendar mainly -- but they've both worked perfectly since Day 1. The screen is bright and clear, they sync up easily and quickly, and all Microsoft functions have worked well. If you just plan to use the basics, I would highly recommend this PDA. In fact, I'm buying a third one today for another employee in my company and feel confident that it will work as well as the others have.
Great Unit April 16, 2006 xardoz We have had the V37 for almost 2 years now, Great! No issues with lock ups. The replacement battery is the Mitec 336
Do NOT buy this product February 26, 2006 Joel W. Townsend (Knoxville, TN) I purchased the product because it offered Microsoft .Net compatibility. The product locks up regularly for no apparent reason. When it locks up the only option is to reset, clearing all data and software installs. If you purchase the product get very familiar with Backup and Restore procedures. I am currently restoring the system once per week.
Nice PDA if you find a used one at a decent price February 6, 2006 Swithin Chandler (Pennsylvania, USA) I received a V37 as a promotional deal that packaged it with a new MSDN Universal subscription (Microsoft's Software Developer tools). It was better than my Palm m505 at the time so I used the V37. I had no complaints for the few years that I used it until recently when I could no longer sync (transfer data between the V37 and my computer). I believe it's a hardware problem with the port on the V37 itself to which the USB cable connects. I don't think it's worth fixing and I can't sell it like that so I recently purchased a new PDA (another brand). Pay attention to the other review for the V37 that points out you can no longer upgrade the OS from Pocket PC 2002 to Pocket PC 2003. I missed out during the short window of time that was available from Viewsonic--and it's true, it's no longer available. If you're thinking of buying a V37, don't get a new one as there are other PDAs on the market now that are better and in the same price range. But if you are considering a used one at a decent price (say under $200), it's a nice PDA. Bright screen, color of course, enough memory for all but the extreme PDA addict. I wish it had a louder meeting reminder sound. I would give this a higher rating if it we were still in the year 2002 (maybe a 3 or 4 out of 5). But by today's standards, it's on the verge of being "like...so 5 minutes ago!"
