Enough wires, not enough light July 2, 2008 The solar panels capture light during any type of weather. The light? Its not even enough to light up a little part of the outside of your house. We currently are using ALL 3 lights to shine on the front door, since one light beaming on the front porch isn't even strong enough to see from your street. Don't waste your money. Better off getting electric lights which will actually illuminate whatever is around them.
Odd Use but works! June 30, 2008 Was looking for a solar light for our ornamental lighthouse and the ones made for this purpose was outrageously expensive. We adapted this spotlight set to be the source of light in our lighthouse and it works great. Not what the manufacturer expected use was but all the same it was an inexpensive way to light up our lighthouse.
Doing a great job. June 29, 2008 These are doing a great job. I was not expecting a true flood light, just something to add some light to our front door because the street light is blocked by our attached garage. It does a good job and looks good. This was a good purchase for me.
solar powered flood lites June 26, 2008 We have a new water feature with stone all around. The water feature has a water fall and we used the "Malibu 3-Pack Solar with the remote solar panel". When the sun sets the water garden lites up with a romantic blue glow. I wanted to lite up the space with least amount of effort possible. These lights have the smallest wires and could be hidden in the smallest cracks in the stone.Anchoring them was not a problem, just took the stakes and turned them 90 degrees and laid them under a stone. The price is also very attractive. I am considering ordering another set for another location.
Bought 3 of them, exceed expectation June 21, 2008 I bought one set to test out the product. I used it to provide some light on the staircase. It exceeds my expectation and it is the brightest light I have ever seen powered by solar. After a day of decent sunlight, the light still works very well for the next few days with cloudy sky for the next few days.
I just got two more sets after the successful trial. Highly recommended for under thirty dollars and free shipping from Amazon.
