SpotBot August 25, 2008 M. Fowler Super Product!--- So good actually that it leaves small "crop circles" in my carpet cause it makes it so much cleaner than everything around it--- but those gradually disappear with traffic and vacuuming. Uses a lot of cleaning solution-- can get expensive if you have to clean something like every day. Even took out a years old red wine stain from the previous owners-- amazing.
Best invention since the wheel August 15, 2008 Dasher (Huntington, NY United States) Best appliance I have in the house. I just bought a new house with too much carpet and my 3 dogs love it. They were house trained but since I moved from a house that was all tile and hardwood floors they have been having pee parties nightly. My plan is to get rid of the carpeting anyway because I have asthma, but in the meantime I found this. What a miracle worker. I also got the refurbished model and as before with other refurbished items it was no different then buying something brand new. The only complaint is the price of the cleaning solution which can go quickly. So I am going to see if cheaper carpet cleaners solution will work. I have a feeling it will. I recommend this product for any household, pets or not.
I bought it based on positive reviews. August 12, 2008 Rebecca (Los Angeles) I bought it based on positive reviews, and was not disappointed. I mainly use the manual attachment. Hot water alone with this attachment can be used to clean dirt from an area of carpet, but the machine is also efficient at removing spots using the deep cleaner.
Cleaner Carpets! August 11, 2008 Pr. Daddman (USA) This was actually purchased at the request of my wife, to lift coffee stains from our (too) light colored carpet. It really worked well, surpassing my expectations! Purchasing proprietary cleaning fluids was something I did not count on, but the results are worth the continuing cost. Plus, buying remanufactured saved a lot of money on this item.
Okay replacement policy August 11, 2008 C. DeStefano With a cat, inside dog and baby this machine is ideal. I use it on a daily basis. I originally purchased the remanufactured model, after 5 months the brushes stopped moving on it but the wand attachment still worked. That day my son was sick and I must have cleaned up 10 spots with it using the deep clean method, needless to say I put this machine to its test. I was so upset when it stopped working. I called amazon who gave me the bissell number. Bissell replaced the spotbot with a one of the pet versions even though it was remanufactured and well past the 90 day warranty period. The exchange was easy, they sent me a UPS label, I had to cut off the cord to my spotbot and mail it back. In about 10 days I had the pet version of the spotbot delivered via UPS. I do not like my newer spotbot. It leaks all the time. I can't leave cleaning solution in the one side or the closet floor I store it in ends up soaked. When I called bissell to report my problem their answer was that the directions state to not store the spotbot with the cleaning stuff in the container. Uhh, what am I supposed to do with it? I then switched containers with the original spotbot I had... have I confused you yet?... and it still leaked. So, $90 later I have two broken spotbots. With this said, it has gotten every spot I have tried it on out of the carpet. Ohh and I disagree with another posters comment about it taking 24 hours to dry. I find both of mine left the carpet very dry.
