| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Quiet is the operative word for this vacuum. Nevertheless, the 12-amp quiet performance motor is impressively powerful, and will pick up amazing quantities of dust and dirt you didn't think you had. Allergy sufferers know how thoroughly the HEPA filter traps pollen, dust, and other allergens. The upright's 13-inch power head features a light so you can see under couches and in dark corners, while its height adjusts for different thicknesses of carpet. Stored on board, the accessories include a 3-foot extension wand, 7-foot stretch hose, and a dusting brush for drapes and windowsills. A convenient carry handle and 30-foot power cord allow good accessibility to all rooms in the house. Best of all, the dust container unlatches and empties right into the trash, meaning no more bags to buy or change ever again. --Ann Bieri

Shark Lightweight Bagless Upright Vac October 29, 2005 Utopia Queen 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Horrible Machine! Let me count the ways: 1.The motor noise is deafening 2.The hose system always falls away from its support holders so before you know it there is loose hose everywhere not to mention that the hand held part of the hose comes out of its tube all during the vacuuming process 3.The filter canister is too small & messy to empty 4.The suction is not very good and clogs most of the time 5.The electric cord system is difficult to wind up and won't stay secured to it's clip
i dont know what everyone is talkin about. its a good vacuum February 23, 2005 Anastasia Hughes (Montgomery, AL USA) i looked up my vacuum cleaner because i've had it for a year and the filter is starting to smell, so i thought i would buy a new filter. i didnt know where to buy one so i thought they probably sell it on Amazon. its surprisingly more expensive on Amazon, than it is on Shark Website! anyways....i was surprised to see how many bad reviews it got. i just have to say i ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY VACUUM...i got it for a christmas gift and was disappointed because it was a vacuum hehe....BUT now that i have it i LOVE IT. i have never had any problems with it. it never overheats. the belt has never broken.....and on top of everything is CLEANS GREAT. it sucks everything up on my WHITE carpet and the carpet always looks clean and new when i use it. We have two vacuums in this house because my roomate had a vacuum too, and we ONLY use mine because it works soooo good. but the most surprising thing is that we have a HUUUGE weimareiner dog and a small dog and a long haired cat and the vacuum cleaner picks up all their hair with no problem and never gets clogged. so i think maybe the others just got a bad vacuum because mine works great. it is the Shark EP710 bagless. i would reccomend it over any hoover my mom has had in the past and its great for any college student or adult with a big or small house because it will not let you down.
Shark sucks, but not like a vacuum is supposed to January 21, 2005 J. Wheeler (springfield, va) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
PROs: well it is cheap, though you are definitely only getting what you paid for (i.e. cheap) CONs: Very little suction, filter must be cleaned constantly (at least once for every level of my 3 story townhouse), once it over-heats, you have to wait 45 minutes before it will turn on again, emptying and cleaning the filter is complicated (and returns much of the dust to your house!?). Okay, I admit it I did NOT do my homework before I bought this, and I have lived to regret it. Frankly it takes twice as long to finish a room, because I am going back and forth, back and forth trying to pick up the fuzzies and bits, which the thing is seemingly refusing to pick up. I bought it because it was a bargain, but how much of a bargain is it now that I have had enough (after 3 weeks, three vacuumings of my house) and will be going to get another machine? To echo another reviewer, I feel embarressed that I bought this thing!
This thing is junk September 29, 2004 Ginger Jackson (Lynnwood, WA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Don't buy this. It is constantly breaking. I am on a budget, but will have to get a new one, I think. Next time I'm researching the product better before I buy! I'm actually embarrased to have purchased this. Why is this thing still being sold?
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT July 6, 2004 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
First of all, if I could have given it no stars I would have. Second, it overheats and shuts down CONSTANTLY. Third, if you have pets, it is always clogged. Fourth, The customer service is non-existant.I will never buy a Euro-pro product again. To echo another review, I don't know how they are still in business.
