5 out of 5 stars USB Eneloop Charger--fantastic!   August 20, 2008

This review is for the USB charger for 2 AA/AAA batteries.
It is the perfect size for travel--SO lightweight, and so far (only 1 charge in) has worked like a charm. Sure, the charge takes longer via USB, but what a convenient option to have!

I also purchased the 4 AA/AAA charger on Amazon--model NC-MQN06U. Also very compact, and to settle some questions: the unit label lists input at 100-240V, so traveling abroad shouldn't be a problem.

I am very pleased with the quality and practicality of this product from Amazon.

Yep, these rechargables work great, and, as of this writing, this brand/package seems to be the best deal out there. Regular rechargables lose their charge just sitting around, so these are a much better option for things like digital cameras or flashlights. I highly recommend. I've got 2 in my digital, 2 spares, and I've also got four in my headlight for my bike -- so far they are lasting WAY longer than the old rechargables I used to use. The fact that they come pre charged is an added bonus.

5 out of 5 stars A great set of batteries.   August 19, 2008

These batteries live up to their reputation. I orginally bought them to use in my mp3 player and these Eneloop batteries have lasted longer in one sitting than other regular non-rechargable batteries that you can buy at any store. Even after charging they still last just as long as when they came pre-charged. Great investment.

5 out of 5 stars I love these batteries   August 19, 2008

I was skeptical about trying these batteries in my flash (Cannon 580EX2), even with all the overwhelming positive reviews on my favorite photo forums, I was still hooked on Alkaline batteries (the 36 pack at Home Depot is $12).

Well, I bought two packs to start about 3 months ago. I put one pack into my flash right out of the package. I didn't charge them at all. They not only lasted much longer than Alkaline batteries, the recycle time dropped as well (not scientific, but it appeared to be twice as fast). Since that time, I have bought two more packs and have been using them in other devices. They work great in FRS radios that get stuck in a drawer for 6 months before use. They work too well in our Wii controllers (which is why I am back out here as our 4 Wii controllers have claimed all remaining Eneloops and I want more for my camera gear).

My only gripe is that they don't make a C or D cell version of these, I have a few large flashlights and radios that would benefit from this kind of performance.

4 out of 5 stars Eneloop rechargable batteries w/charger   August 18, 2008

I'm the photographer when we go on vacations (or just down the road) and I got tired of having tons of batteries just because they weren't dependable to hold their charge. So about I tried the eneloop batteries just to see if there was a difference. They came fully charged and I used them quite a bit before charging the first time. The charging time is longer than the typical rechargable but they hold a good charge for months in stead of days. On my last vacation, I shot approximately 700 pictures and 15 minutes of video on the same set of batteries and they were still going when I got home. They are still farely new to me so I don't know how that will hold up. That's the only reason I gave them a 4 star.
