Great Pan - No Cleanup September 2, 2008 B. Glesener (San Clemente, CA) Many, many years ago I used to have a cast iron pan I'd seasoned myself. It took years of special care: applying oils, wiping down, no soap, etc. Two reasons I bought this: I needed a pan to cook tortillas and I wanted a pan that was well-made, easy to care for, was up to daily use and wouldn't warp. I decided on a cast iron pan and I have no regrets about buying this. A little bit of butter and it was ready to go. The tortillas cook beautifully and taste great. Cleaning the pan is a breeze -rinse with hot water and dry with a paper towel. Its perfectly seasoned, cooks well, heats evenly, looks great and made me wonder why I stopped using my other cast iron pan. You want good tortillas, you can't go wrong with this. Oh, and I use it for eggs to put in a burrito (or not) and love it for them also.
Great pan for crepes and indian dosas August 29, 2008 MandM (dallas,tx) This is my second lodge logic pan. This I had to put oil and season few times before I Could use it successfully(without stuff sticking to it). But now it works wondefully.
the miracle griddle July 4, 2008 S. Schrader (Massachusetts) I purchased the pre-seasoned Lodge griddle because I have recently converted to a vegetarian diet and wanted the iron that is diffused in to the food from cast iron. To my amazement this griddle does everything. It makes great pancakes, eggs, pizza, and it does a wonderful job baking my sons breaded chicken in the oven. I have been making pizza from scratch for over 15 years and cast iron is the best surface to bake a tender high rise crust that rivals a pizza baked in a brick oven. Preheat the oven to 450 and bake from 12-15 minutes and you will have a crust that will be the envy of anyone who takes pride in homemade baked goods. Clean up of the griddle is a snap with hot water and a stiff bristle brush. I bought my brush from Target in the cleaning supplies section. Some day I will replace all my Calphalon with Cast Iron. I have purchased the Lodge Pizza pan as well as the 10" Dutch oven. I don't know how I have cooked for so many years using inferior products. Cast Iron it's what is cooking dinner tonight.

The griddle (comal) was exactly perfect for cooking fresh tortillas .Heat is distributed evenly across the cooking surface. This allows for even cooking of tortillas. I am pleased with this comal.
