 Convenient To Use But The Top Warps Easily November 17, 2008

The top is all plastic and even though it's rated to hold up to 50 lbs., you'll notice it sags in the middle with as little as a 7 pound laptop on it (that's what I use it for). br / br /I'd give it 5 stars for convenience if it weren't for this and the fact that the TableMate website has NO contact telephone number - and does NOT respond to e-mails inquiring about a replacement top - it's supposed to have a lifetime warranty against breakage, bending, etc. br / br /Mine has developed a permanent warp to the point that my mouse won't even lay flat. A steel shim molded into the top's perimeter lip would have made for a much more rigid design.

I bought this Table Mate to put my laptop on while I'm on the couch. This is GREAT. So easy to pull my laptop up to me and it slides back like a dream. I recomend this for everyone!

The Table Mate is a great design idea. The frame is good quality steel, easy to assemble. Just 2 cons for this product. The plastic the tray is made from is soft and warps slightly. Of the 3 adjustable positions only the horizontal position is useful. The other 2 positions are angled too steep.

This little table has worked great. My husband uses it for his laptop etc. and it's exactly what he'd been looking for. Looks stylish, works perfectly. You can't get any better than this for the price - some of those websites that sell these tables have outrageous prices! This one is just right.
