Product Description The Mirka Hook & Loop sanding discs come on a B weight backing, giving the disc better edge wear & wear ability. The Stearate aluminum oxide grit provides a fast, uniform cut. We stock these discs in 5 hole & 8 hole in the 5" size and 6 hole 6" size. This will cover the most popular sanders on the market. These discs can also be used with a standard pad with no punched holes. (Each size and/or grit sold separately)
Amazon.com Product Description These Mirka hook-and-loop sanding discs come on a B weight backing, and feature a special sharp, durable aluminum oxide grain that gives you a fast and exceptionally long-lasting cut. Their aluminum oxide coating is combined with urea resin over glue bonds, with a dustless open coat design to keep them from clogging. These discs can also be used with a standard pad with no punched holes.

Beautiful sandpaper, make a my job so a easy! January 9, 2007 P. T. Carpenter A very good a sandpaper. It a last a long time!
Good quality and good price May 9, 2006 P. Donnelly (Maryland) After having received two boxes of varying grits, I was impressed with the quality for the reasonable price. The pads held up very well and I got a lot of use out of each pad. As a weekend woodworker, I think this isa a definate do-over when it comes to purchasing more sanding pads.
Excellent paper January 29, 2006 T. Stough (Wheaton, IL United States) Mirka makes some of the best sand paper for these small orbital sanders. Buy with confidence. I have purchased all the different grits with the same satisfaction.
Good quality at reasonable price. September 15, 2005 StandUp_Guy (Whitehall, PA) I purchased a box of 50 discs in 80 grit mfg by Mirka. Was not sure what the quality would be since I had not heard of this brand name. I used on western red cedar with Bosch random orbit model 3107. My sander is agressive and these discs were totally up to the job. I sanded about 60 square feet before I noticed a slight drop off in sanding efficiency. I could have kept using the disk, but put on a new one to keep my project moving along. In total, I sanded about 150 square feet and was on my third disc when the day ended. I had no trouble with clogging, grit falling off, or the paper backer tearing. This is a quality product and I would not hesitate to buy other grits.
mediocre September 7, 2005 R. Chapel I am disappointed with the Mirka discs I bought in 80, 150, and 220 grits. The reason is that they don't last very long. They simply lose their effectiveness in what seems like a fairly short time. When first used the discs sand nicely, and seem to cut rapidly without making swirl marks. Before long they are sanding very slowly, and if I use them too long they will make swirl marks. I used them on red cedar, a very soft wood, so I expected them to last at least twice as long. I do think the grit is pretty uniform in size, as I got no swirls during the sharp cutting phase. I actually considered sending them back, but do not have time to find and buy better ones. I think I was spoiled by the discs I used at work which were labelled "Regis".
