Look elsewhere April 20, 2008 Dave R. 0 out of 8 found this review helpful
If you've played or are currently playing WoW and are looking to see what else is out there in that genre.... Don't bother. There's nothing else out there that compare. Neither this version nor EQ2 are worth the money. If you still want to try it, download the free trial version. Don't spend anymore money than you have to on it. You'll understand once you see the poor quality of graphics and game play.
Too demanding December 20, 2007 davez82 this game is fun, if you have the time. Even then... it mostly feels like work, out of all the mmo's, this one has the most Grind. This game is fun if your ok staying with mid - mediocre equipment, but to get the usefull equipment its just too demanding.
EQ no more December 3, 2007 Carrigan 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this hoping to revive my love for a game I played years ago. However, it just reminded me why I quit in the first place. SoE was/is a staple in the mmorpg community, but I think their time has come and went. br /Pros: Pretty graphics (especially considering the time period of it's original release) and fun classes/races. br /Cons: Frustrating questlines, corpse runs, and experience loss upon death.

This is a really old game. Started the whole MMO craze like 8 years ago. BUT this is also the best buy for a videogame you're ever gonna get. Base EQ and 13 expansion packs included in this bad boy all for $20, PLUS you get a free month when you start a new account. So in all honesty you get all the content the game has to offer for 5 dollars for the first month! There's no way to beat that. br /If you're like me you've played WoW to death. always kind of wondered what EQ was all about. If you find WoW too easy, definitely try this one out
