This two-video set by Billy Blanks includes a 30-minute instructional workout that teaches moves and technique as well as an eight-minute workout in which you go all out. Blanks starts the 30-minute video with flexibility training--important for injury prevention as well as comfort. The key to making a high-intensity kickboxing workout effective and safe is doing it correctly, so Blanks carefully teaches the moves, paying careful attention to safety, form, and technique. Blanks explains clearly what to do, what not to do, and why. Even if you're an advanced kickboxing exerciser, spend some time with the instructional video. The eight-minute workout uses all those moves in an advanced blast of sweat and muscle action, great for days when you just have a few minutes and want to spend them intensely. Blanks is the master tae-bo instructor, and he really knows how to teach, motivate, and make you sweat. --Joan Price

These videos are tough but i love them. Whenever i fall off the exercise wagon i do these videos and i feel amazing afterwards. I kknow i burn so many calories doing them and the next day i feel the work i have done and it is great. These videos are a must have, i think they are the best taebo dvds.

4 out of 5 stars Good workout/horrible video!   June 18, 2008

Like other taebo videos it is a really good workout, but the video is not great. He frequently forgets to repeat sequences on both sides, the people doing the workout make tons of mistakes and randomly take water breaks in the middle. You will definately get a good workout but i was upset how expensive it was because he clearly just taped one of his classes and did not do any editing.

This product DOES make you sweat, and it works, i don't really follow diets and still maintained to lose plenty of weight. I don't own a scale, but I lost two pant sizes. And im still loosing weight. I just started a month ago. I love it.

This workout is very challenging and I love it. I have other workout DVDs and videos, but this one is by far the best. It really gets your blood pumping!

5 out of 5 stars A Workout DVD That Inspires   January 6, 2008

I've been doing Tae-Bo for a couple of years now but only had 3 of the videos. I wanted to try something cardio and this gave me what I was looking for. I wanted something challenging, not wimpy, that would make me feel like I'd done a workout. This definently did. Some workout videos you watch and do simply because you want to burn off the massive serving of chinese food you had for dinner (or breakfast). That's the mentality I usually adopt, but this workout dvd made me want to continue doing it not only because it was fun and challenging, but because it made me feel strong. It made me feel like I was doing something good for myself. Instead of wanting to call it quits, I wanted more. Not all the people in the class are especially good at tae-bo or extremely slim, so there's someone in the class that everyone can identify with. I found some moves extremely difficult and others easy. I would say that some people might find this DVD discouraging the first couple of times they try it, but as long as you do like 60% of it, you're still getting a major workout. Some of the stuff is really hard, so it's a DVD you can spend a lot of time with and not get bored.

Bad Things:
1. As you near the end of the workout it seems that Billy wants to throw in some outrageous moves that have no correlation to getting your body fit and toned, you feel ridiculous while doing them, they are hard to catch on to, and you only do them for about a minute. Annoying!
2. The 2 poor old people look like they're about to pass out the whole time. They make me cry.
3. The people in the back seem to be more new to it, which is nice, but they're not that great to watch for good form.
4. Billy shows off and it's annoying. He jumps around really crazily and you're like, "where did that just come from?"
5. 2-Minute speech Billy does at the end is wack and too long. "Will" does not equal "Wheel".

Interesting Fact: On the Tae-Bo website Billy answers a question about how many calories you burn during a Tae-Bo workout. The answer is that depending on your weight, age, intensity of the workout, etc. you most likely burn between 200-400 calories per 1/2 hour of Tae-Bo you do.

Tae-Bo's the way baby.
