Amazon.com Product Description
Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the green RazorX Ripstik caster board is the perfect ride for kids looking for the next big thrill. The board is distinguished by its pivoting deck and 360-degree inclined caster trucks, which offer a snowboard-like carving ability. A simple weight transfer lets you turn or accelerate without pushing, just like when you're carving down the slopes.p In addition, the board offers such features as spiked traction pads, a kick tail and nose, and a concave deck design, which combine to improve your foot control--a must for tricks. And thanks to the 76mm polyurethane wheels and precision ABEC-5 bearing casters, skaters will enjoy a smooth ride on almost any type of pavement. Designed for children 8 years and up, the Ripstik's plastic end platforms and metal torsion beam support up to 220 pounds. 5 out of 5 stars Perfect gift for a 10 yr old!   November 29, 2008
Jeremy A. Gaines (Matthews, NC)
I bought this for a Bday present for my 10 yr old and he absolutely loves it. He was never a big skate boarder but loves this. He picked up the basics in about 1/2 a day.

5 out of 5 stars Ripstick   November 26, 2008

We bought the Ripstick for our 8 yr. old and he loves it. Quality is really good. Takes a while to learn how to ride though. Shipping was really fast and the price was one of the best I was able to find. I would definitely order through Amazon again.

5 out of 5 stars My son loves it!   November 26, 2008
Christine Kukla (Fort Myers, FL USA)
I can't get my son off of it! He loves it! It was the best birthday gift he's gotten in a while. Now instead of sitting in front on the TV or playing videogames, he's riding on his RipStik and getting a lot of exercise.

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME!   November 21, 2008

My daughter LOVES LOVES this! It took about a week to get the balance but once she did she has NOT stopped! It is a GREAT "Core" workout and is fun so she doesn't even think it's exercise...just fun! The cool thing with this is how you can go up hill once you learn how to do the weaving back and forth motion (a friend showed her). So it is better than a skate board - you can go uphill weaving then turn around and coast back down hill. One caution -- don't go downhill too fast becasue there is really no good way to stop other than jumping off. My daughter says there is no way to stop because you will loose balance so you can only jump off! -- WEAR HELMETS and KNEE PADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars RipStik is a hit!   November 19, 2008
Sandra M. Hockert (Apple Valley MN)
I bought one for my daughter's 10th birthday. She loves it! It came with a video on how to use it and do tricks, and she watched it before using it the first time. Even though MN winters start early, she has been on it more than what I expected. I recommend this product for anyone who loves to skateboard - it's a step up in difficulty, but once mastered, it offers much more flexibility.
