No roof!! July 21, 2008 rujteara (MO USA) My son got this for his 5th birthday. The instructions indicated that it had a cover-that covers the top of the playset-This DOES NOT HAVE anything on top - it is just strictly the sides -It would have been really cute if the top was covered as indicated on the instructions. We threw a sheet on the top - but it would be better if it was like it showed on the instructions. The burning log idea is cute, but my newly 5 year old son doesn't like that the flame will not stay up all the time- It has a fan it in that is supposed to make the fabric which is the flame fly up and lights to make it look like it's burning - Cool idea - just should have been complete with a roof and maybe a stronger fan to make the "fire burn" better. Cool concept, but not worth over $20 since it's not a like a real tent - who wants a tent without a top???
NO ROOF! July 16, 2008 Heather (Sherman Oaks, CA United States) This tent has no roof! Kind of defeats the purpose. The directions indicated a roof but they must have changed the manufacturing because instead of a connected roof and four sides that slides over the pole structure (as indicated by the directions) the tops of the walls velcro to the poles and there is not roof. Assembly took about 20 minutes and the poles do not lock in correctly; the kind of bulge. The kids liked the animals painted on it but the "fire" has a flimsy piece of nylon for the flame which my three year old ripped off in a matter of seconds. I guess if only for inside lack of roof less of a problem but we wanted the option of putting it outside and having shade, etc.
