Enjoy incredible height and speed with your Xkixs. Choose a weight range that you feel you will stay within, preferably in the middle to upper end of a range. If you are too light for a weight range you won't be able to draw bounce. If you are too heavy, you will bottom out, and depending what you are doing and how heavy you are, you could do damage. If you are an ounce out of shape you will loose some weight. If you really use them a lot, you will loose a lot of weight. This is definitely exercise, don't kid yourself. If you are completely out of shape, you will probably loose a couple of pounds just from the adrenaline of putting them on and standing up for the first time. Allways use safety equipment - helmet - knee, elbow and hand guards. This is also a sporting goods product and like most extreme sports equipment, they should be used only with appropriate skill level for the use it is performing.
