Not what I remember as a child! September 8, 2008 Ole Grandad (Oklahoma City, OK USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Commemorative Edition TinI purchased the Lincoln Logs for my 3 year old grandsons. I must say that I was disappointed with the quality of the product. The instructions say not to use the product on carpet because the dye may rub off and stain it! The green roof slats are rounded on one side. The roof is very hard to attach to the roof trust for a three year old. Because the side that is round is the side that faces down, they are hard to keep in place. Also, the way in which the red trust is cut, the green roof pieces slide off too easy. If I had it to do all over again, I would not buy it! It would probably be better to shop a garage sale and try and find an old set that was made correctly. A very sad shopping experience.
Perfect present August 19, 2008 A. Ortiz My nephew turned 2 and this was exactly what he had wanted. Great for kids who enjoy building sets and a bit of crafts. This will be his second set and he plays with it hour after hour and so on.
Bad Packaging June 24, 2008 Em (appleton, wi) I got this gift for my nephew. He really loves to build things. So, When I got this he was happy. The only issue that I had was with the shipping of the tin. In the description of the toy it said that it had a few dents. That was fine, but when we recieved the tin it was not wrapped in anything. It was just placed in the box with no protection. So, I knew that there would be a few dents, but how do i know that more dents could have been prevented if it was wrapped right. My nephew loves the toy, but I was just very disappointed in the way that is was delivered.
Lincoln logs AGAIN!! January 1, 2008 teebone (MI) This was for my granddaughter and her new brother, but I guess my daughter and son-in-law had lots of fun with it before they wrapped it and put it under the Christmas tree. Brought back memories
Perfect toy. Its a timeless item to have December 28, 2007 Papaw Jeff (South Charleston, WV) I loved mine as a youngster. And now years later kids still want these old non electronic log toys. Still a great toy and gives us older guys a chance to play with the grandkids and with toys we can operate!!!!!!!!!! HA HA
