Product Description
With its classic civil aviation lines, "everything you need" packaging and super quick assembly time, the AirStrike is a compact, 34-inch wingspan trainer that's easy to store and transport. Produced from durable yet lightweight materials, the AirStrike is made with the strength needed by new pilots.

The "Cessna-like" design makes this airplane smooth, stable and easy-to-control. An included three-channel 72 MHz transmitter features controls for variable speed, rudder and elevation in the traditional "Mode 2" format recognized by R/C club instructors. Because it's electric, the AirStrike can be flown in areas off-limits to larger, fuel-powered models. A rechargeable 8.4 volt battery pack and automatic 12 volt DC peak charger provide the necessary power for clean, quiet and controlled flights. The AirStrike contains an auto-cutoff circuit that automatically reduces power to the motor when the battery pack nears the end of its charge, leaving ample reserve radio power for a successful landing.

Features:

  • Comes with comprehensive guide that guides you through final assembly, pre-flight checks and first flights
  • High torque 5.6 to 1 ratio drive
  • Large and efficient 8.75" x 5.5" inch prop
  • Ball-bearing supported main shaft
  • Flies up to 3,000 ft above sea level
Requires 8.4V NiCad battery pack and charger (both included) and 8 "AA" alkaline batteries (not included).

2 out of 5 stars Fragile, breaks easily   April 23, 2008
B. Tenney (albany ny)
Father bought me this aircraft. The first time I used it, I hand launched it. It flew about 30 feet into the air, then the gears in the engine snapped apart and the plane nose dived into a pond. After sending it back to the company and 8 weeks later (which made it winter) I received it back and the gears were still broken. Never buy an electric again. Gas engines work better.

this plane is too fragile..

first hard landing.. on paved runway, the front tire broke, but repaired.

second hard landing, the proppeler broke. (2 spare props in the box)

This plane is very unstable during flying, and if you want to take off the plane does not turn any directions ... so becareful when taking off or landing.. because once on the ground the plane wont turn.

battery life is around 8 to 10 mins. tops. if you dont go at full speed. if you go at full speed the flying time is reduced to 4 minutes.
