I have had this jointer for about 3 months now, and have jointed about 500 bf of various lumber with it, plenty of power no problem with full 8/4 x 8" red oak when face plaining, smooth as glass finish on lace wood and zebra, no tear out or rough finish on Birdseye maple. had to make a minor 1/32" adjustment to out feed table when setup, but other than that no adjustments were needed. very quiet operation compared to old 1.5hp standard knife 8" jointer. smooth cuts from spiral cutter head no lines or grooves like other reviews have reported. unit was received with cosmetic shipping damage but grizzly was great and had the replacement part on its way the very next day. outstanding machine would recommend it to anyone.
