Amazon.com Review With this 2-1/2-inch, 16-gauge finish nailer, Porter-Cable continues to make good on their reputation as one of the top pneumatic toolmakers. The gun's straight magazine is well thought out, made from aluminum, and top loading. This is a sturdy, compact nailer that shoots a conveniently wide range of 16-gauge nails, from 3/4 to 2-1/2 inches. The nailer has a good balance and a nice, thin grip made of porous rubber. (You don't have to have the hands of a giant to comfortably operate this gun.) The gun has a nicely designed depth-of-drive adjustment. There's also a muffled exhaust port, so it's quieter than a lot of other nailers--plus the exhaust port is adjustable, so you can direct the discharge where you want it. The gun's also lighter than we'd expected, always a good thing in a tool a lot of us use all day long. --Jon Groebner

Porter Cable Finish Nailer 2 1/2' August 28, 2008 Mark Bauer I was very pleased with the prompt delivery of my pneumatic nailer and especially pleased with the price as I saved approximatly $50.00 compared to Home Depot for the exact same item.
Nice while it lasted - which wasn't long June 11, 2008 MoxieMozo (KETCHUM, IDAHO United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was the first nailer I've ever used and I was thrilled with it until it just stopped shooting nails after a couple of small projects. I didn't even get through the tiny starter box of nails that came with the nailer before it died! I took the nailer to a guy who repairs tools and he said that it would cost more to repair than to buy new. He also expressed a very negative opinion about Porter Cable's dramatic decline in quality since they were bought out by DeWalt. From my experience with this product and the advice from a reliable professional, I won't be replacing this nailer with another Porter Cable.
Handy May 16, 2008 R. Glaza (Michigan) Nice tool to have around. Used it for installing moldings and replacing all the windows in my house. Never a problem with it.
Can no longer get parts March 12, 2008 Shawnee4me (Beaufort, South Carolina United States) Before Porter Cable sold their name this was a great pneumatic company with excellant service. Now its just junk. If it breaks don't bother trying to fix it just trash it and buy the cheaps thing you can find and junk it when it finally breaks. The FN250A by the orginal company Porter Cable was a fairly good nailer.
Porter-Cable FN 2508 finish nailer November 17, 2007 Connie (Ohio) My husband had one of these and loved it. He wanted a 2nd and the price was great.
