Battery is a bummer August 6, 2008 G. Nash (University Place,WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got two with my drill two years ago. First one lasted three months, second one 1.5 years with VERY LIGHT useage. Black & Decker I had lasted 5 years with heavy use. I don't know if it's the Makita charger or the batteries. I would not buy this product again. The drill is fabulous. The batteries are not. G Nash
Disappointed July 31, 2008 D. Sursely (St. Paul. MN) I am disappointed that the original battery only lasted a little over one year despite only light use. The drill itself is great.
Works Fine, Price? July 4, 2008 A. G. Jenks (Oregon Coast USA) Battery works fine, although not much used yet. Only fits specific tools, so check carefully. Was listed at $34.95 and bought it at that price. Now it's back up into the $60's, What's up with that? Can't find much price differential shopping around, even when buying multiple sets. Any price advantage is lost in shipping charges.
