Works okay - recommended October 15, 2008 A. S. Templeton (Seattle, WA USA) I dunno what the complainers are griping about. When installed and adjusted properly, the insert does exactly what it's supposed to do, namely minimizing tearout and stopping thin trimmings dropping down into the motor works.
Clean cut August 24, 2008 Waltman01 (Fla.) After having problems from plywood veneers "chipping" @ the cut edge, purchased this unit - it solved the problem!
Too flimsy... July 29, 2008 fella77 (CT...USA) This was a waste of money. The plastic it's made from is cheap and flimsy. If you put any downward pressure on your material as you push it through the saw the insert deflects and your material gets caught on the lip between the table and the insert. Threw it right in the garbage and made my own from Baltic birch plywood.
Works fine! July 18, 2008 William E. Erickson (DeWitt, MI) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This zero clearance insert works fine. Earlier reviews said it was cheap and flimsey but it seems to do the job for me. I think some people get so obsessed with ultimate perfection that they loose site of the overall picture.
Good, but not great, and takes time to set up July 1, 2008 Eduard Lysak (Denver, USA) I love my Bosch table saw, that's why I got this accessory, and I use it most of the time, it just stays in there. However, this was not easy to set up - it was definitely not leveled out of factory, and I had to play with screws supplied with it to make it leveled. It still is not perfect, and needs to be adjusted from time to time, but it does work for me. This is one of those things that makes you wonder whether it was designed and made by Bosch, or outsourced to Asia. Definitely not the quality I have come to expect from Bosch.
