Product Description Trojan MS2000 Miter Saw Stand, Innovative design for maximum portability, Galvanized rollers won't rust, Durable powder coat and zinc plated finish, "Cart" rather than "carry" your saw to the job, Fast, time saving set up, Easily rolls up stairs and over debris. Large 16" x 40" MDF tabletop has 10" pneumatic tires.
Amazon.com Review Designed to fit any miter saw or compound slide saw, this Trojan stand is light, portable, and easy to set up. It provides 13 feet of overall support with both ends fully extended, and while we would have liked to see quick-release adjustments, it is a generous amount of room by most standards. The surface is not predrilled for mounting, so you'll have to drill and mount your saw yourself. Construction is rugged steel, and the welds are solid, as are the rollers on the extensions. In order to reduce weight, Trojan has kept the legs fairly thin, and as a consequence the unit isn't as burly as some models. But depending on the saw model you intend to mount, and where you plan to set up (indoors, outdoors, or in the shop), this may or may not be an issue. The wheels are 10 inches in diameter and roll well, and in terms of portability, the stand's relative lightness is a positive. The table measures 39-1/2 inches long by 16 wide by 35-1/2 inches tall. Difficult to erect. December 25, 2007 C. Ledford (Cincinnati, OH) The stand works reasonably well once you have it setup. However the center support is difficult to align when your trying to erect the stand. I had trouble with it before I attached the saw to the table, can't imagine trying to do this with the saw attached. Also, the side rollers, though a nice feature are difficult to align because you must adjust them front and back instead of at one central point. I use mine in a workshop and don't knock it down or move it around much so it works well as a fixed platform. I don't think I would buy it if I needed to move it frequently. Finally, be careful, there are many pinch points on this stand.
excellent, but not perfect December 21, 2007 D. Hayes (Los Gatos, CA United States) I have had the Trojan Miter Saw Stand for about three years. I have found it to be very good for some tasks and a little weak for others. If all your going to use it for is interior trim carpentry, You have found your tool. Door casings, Crown, Baseboards, Chair rail, the Trojan handles them with ease. If you need to mount your big 12 in. slider and cut exterior fascia boards, Redwood decking, or anything 2x in long lengths, you should look for something a little more stout. It is the wings that get weaker the further you extend them. If you use a separate roller stand beyond the wings your problems are solved, but then you have to carry another tool. Everything else about the Trojan is golden. Bolt the saw to it, adjust the table height(once), unfold the wings, and cut your trim. It folds up compact and easily, and rolls like a hand truck back to the truck. How cool is that. The Trojan is extremely well made and has the best design I have found. If you need something stouter, the trade off is portability. It's all about what your willing to give up. br / Hope This Helps, Derek
Good Overall Stand! August 16, 2007 Matt (Indiana) I like this stand better than others I've used just due to the fact of the ladder design which catches the wood when you cut it. The stand is a bit heavy compared with others but the big pneumatic wheels help quite a bit with that. Also the ability to move it around on the job site by yourself is quite handy. I just use it with the saw sitting on it, I do keep some small Bessey clamps on it to clamp the tool down if you prefer. Works great with my planer as well.
One of the Wonders of the World, in my opinion. March 10, 2007 C. V. White (Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I own two Dewalt miter saws, I ordered one of these stands for one of my saws after reading reviews on Amazon. This day I received this stand and checked it out, I immediately ordered another one for my other saw. This is brilliantly designed as a sturdy self contained unit that meets all your needs as a miter saw stand. It sets up or takes down in seconds. It is easy to level the extensions. I did bolt on wood blocks to raise the saw table to the same level as the rollers and extensions. This is easy to transport, and I've not remvoved the saws at all except once when I used one the stands for stand for my large tile saw. It fit perfectly, just didn't need the extensions. We cut 16' trim pieces with this stand all the time with no problems with either end. It is strong and so far very durable. Just the ease of getting set up so fast with such a useful product helps pay for it in a hurry. You don't have to carry any extra parts along as you take this to the work site, it's all together. It takes up little space considering the job it does, and is even attractive (not that that is necessary). I've researched all the stands, and this is an amazing unit. I do like to have the best, and I believe the Trojan is the best available.
nasty pinches and blood blisters September 28, 2006 James A. Nyman 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
nasty pinches and blood blisters from set up and transport. br /Very poor packaging, arrived damaged and no number to call. br /Suggest makers further refine. Does however have advantages including larger wheels compared to other make. Lots of br /adjustements possible.
