Great radio November 15, 2008 Gary Chambers (Lafayette, La) I recieved my radio today and put it to the test right away. I played the heck out of it while doing exterior renovations to my home. I cannot believe how great it sounds. I have always used cheap store bought standard AM/FM radios and they sounded like it too. This thing plays like a much more expensive set - - - great bass. No, it will not charge batteries nor will it make your coffee for you but if you just need a good sounding radio to listen to while you hit your finger with a hammer, than this is the radio.
Awesome radio September 23, 2008 Greetings from NY Makita never dissapoints! The radio has amazing sound from the two side mounted speakers. It is a very rugged, well made design with outstanding battery life. Tuning and volume are excellent and quite easy due to the single control. I dont see why anyone complains about the A/C adapter. When you are not using it (most of the time), put it in a drawer and it wont be damaged! The radio is priced well below dewalt, milwaukee, etc. No, it doesnt charge the battery but big deal, only Makita tool owners will purchase the radio and of course have battery chargers. Highly recommended.

Makita jobsite radio September 21, 2008 Joseph P. Monson (Minneapolis, MN) Got the product on time and in good shape. I've been using it in a dusty bathroom remodeling job and it has been working great!
Horrible Reception I Hate This Radio August 30, 2008 Andrew C. Glenn (Portland, OR) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the whole shibang cause i wanted a small radio to have at work that sounds good. Radio sounds good, but it wont get reception for anything. I strongly advise trying one out in your work areas first. I am am going to go buy a Dewalt radio and battery and give this away if anyone will take it cause its garbage. Oh I live and work in Portland Oregon so its not like i am far from a radio tower. Battery lasts 2 8 hr shifts, but just cant hear the radio stations over the static even on a fresh charge.
