5 out of 5 stars great product   November 19, 2008
Hippie (kansas city, mo)
We did alot of research on these products and have tried a few in the past, this is the best one I've ever used. Very quiet, puts out a lot of heat. Remote is very handy. This unit will heat a large space comfortably in no time and maintain the temp very well. It's got a timer, it's automatic and it oscillates. I don't have any complaints at all with this buy. If your looking for a good heater, you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars I like it   November 18, 2008

I got this heater for my son's room. I read the other reviews about the blue light and was prepared to break out the duct tape. After the setting the temp in auto mode the blue light goes out. There is susposed to be a red light on at the base of the heater to let you know it's plugged in, but it does not glow. The heater does need to be reset if it's unplugged. I mostly leave it alone though. The heater is nearly silent and blows warm air, not hot air. It makes some expansion noises too. I don't know if the ionizer works as I don't have one without it to compare. Overall I think this is a great buy and would definitely buy another if I needed one.

Excellent delivery. The heater works well and changes have been made to rectify past complaints. It's very quiet and does the job.

3 out of 5 stars So far... So OK...   November 14, 2008

OK, I just got this bad boy last night. It's not bad. The instructions are some of the most poorly written P.O.S. out there. At one point in the instructions it calls for you to assemble two 'plates.' Not a clue what that means as it was all put together, sans the remote. Which you just tossed the batteries into. So, I fired the thing up and it was pretty damn warm. The size of the thing seems much smaller than it appears here. The blue light, contrary to what some people are re-reporting, it does not dim after time. I'll check again tonight, but I'm pretty sure it didn't. The oscillation on mine seemed wacked. It says 120 degrees, but mine just seemed to turn to the left 90 degrees. So, it would come centered and then turn back to the left, then back to center, then left, etc... You'd think it'd go to the right at some point... No idea. Also, can't tell if the thermostat on it is properly gauging the tempature. It'd constantly bounce from 63 to 64 to 63 to 64 and so on... Random. Meanwhile, my places thermostat showed the tempature increasing. I'm attributing this, for now, to the unit being on the floor where it probably is around 63/64. Last night wasn't really a cold night around here, so I'm not sure how this baby will work on cold nights. We'll have to see there. br / br /Edit - One additional note, don't believe the description on this page saying there is an ON timer. There isn't. At least, I don't see it. There is a 'sleep' timer which shuts off after your set time.

5 out of 5 stars Great for those with little ones pets...love it!   November 13, 2008
Hammie's Mommy (So Cal)
I bought this to help save money on my electric bill, which it has done pretty well. I like the simple, sleek design and added features. Moreso I am impressed with the safety features of this unit. I have a curious three year old, and an indoor dog and this heater has truly been a lifesaver! The dog will sometimes bump the heater, and it immeadiately shuts off. I love that feature! I feel safe knowing that if it ever fell over, I wouldn't need to worry. br /A few other things that reassure me (especially with the little one)...The plastic silver part of the unit does not get hot. Another feature that I love is that you need to push the button on the base, and the one under the plastic cover to turn it on. My daughter was smart enough to lift the lid and push the button, but it didn't come on due to the base button not being on. br /Lastly, I love how lightweight it is, as others I have seen seem to weigh quite a bit more, and the remote is a bonus for when I wake up in the middle of the night cold, I don't even have to get out of bed to turn it on! br /Definately would recommend.
