Product Description
Imagine how much heat is lost through the small cracks and crevices in the door and window frames around the house. On top of that there is the cold air that is exchanged for that heat! During the cold winter months it is a good idea to insulate the doors and windows to cut down on your heating bill and eliminate extra drafts. liFor interior use liIncludes 1/2" x 28-yards tape liDoes one 6'8" x 19'5" area liClear as a glass liKeeps out drafts

4 out of 5 stars Home Heat Helper   February 22, 2007

Before I purchased this product I had seen several news reports about energy conservation. This product made a noticeable difference in cutting down on drafts at entrance doorways. The first panel I put in was a bit tricky in trying to keep the wrinkles out of the material; but I eventually worked it out. Overall I found it not too hard to apply and definately worth having as an insulation against the cold.

5 out of 5 stars I had no idea how much cold air comes in through windows!   January 16, 2007

Desperate to try and save a few bucks on my electric bill I thought I should at least give this product a try. I had no problem hanging the plastic. The double sided tape and plastic were very forgiving. My first window looks as good as the last one. You can barely tell it is there. I tried it out in one room at first to see how well it does. It works! I did the rest of my house after that. Well, I did leave a couple of windows uncovered just in case the weather warmed up. Once this stuff is up it is an all or nothing deal, that window is out of commision until you pull the plastic down. I did have a smooth surface available around each window which does help the tape adhere, might be a consideration if you have heavily textured walls. I don't know how much paint will be ripped off of the walls come spring. It is worth the risk.

It is not 84 inches wide. It is 48 inches wide. I now have to reorder to get a piece that will fit my window.
