These window shades are very good and durable. Good value for the money you spend. No tools needed.

5 out of 5 stars Can be used as a Permanent Shade!   October 27, 2008
Falcon91Wolvrn03 (East Palo Alto, CA USA)
My wife and I purchased this as a temporary shade for our new home, to be used until we could agree on a permanent shade. It looked nice enough in our living room that we decided to keep it as a permanent shade (we have the fabric, not paper version). Overall, this is a fantastic value for ~$8. The only thing that makes this less than ideal is that you need to manually lift and clip these to open them.

These are great. We have them in garage windows and I cannot believe how rich they look. No problem at all to install. For the price, even if they last a couple years, I would then replace them

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful Redi Shades   July 2, 2008
A. Crane (Mississippi)
I have allergies and have used Redi Shades for over 4 years, have used the cordless and the ones with the cord. I like the cordless best. The are easy to cut and easy to hang. br / br /On windows that get usage and because I live in the south, (Hot here) sometimes the tape at the top of the blinds gradually come loose, so I just take a small piece of duct tape and place on center and corners when I first put up, then it doesn't make any difference how hot it gets, it won't come loose. br / br /They are wonderful temporary shades, gives your room a nice look from the outside and you can replace as often as the dust requires. I would never go back to using regular blinds after using Redi Shades. In addition, the price is very reasonable. br / br /Try them, you will not be disappointed. br / br /If you are wanting to truly darken your room, take a white garbage bag and tape it across your window (so it looks okay from the outside). Cover with Expensive Dark Green Garbage bags (they are darker than cheap) (hang long across, use tape if in apartment or use tacks if in your own place to secure them. Then so your room looks nice, hang your room darkening Redi Shade. br / br /You room will be really dark. My husband said our bedroom is like a cave. LOL. br / br /I love them! br / br /Alice

These shades are absolutely wonderful and I love them! What a great idea for homes in "transition" (we're remodeling ours in order to put it on the market), or just for a thrifty and easy way to cover any windows. br /I hope the inventor of these makes a lot of money!!
