Only for low weights - these are '2 hook' shelves. Get '4 hook' shelves at hardware store to hold real weight May 15, 2008

These work on my bathroom wall with relatively light weight objects. Though I can see how they have a low weight threshold before bowing in the middle. The bowing can be helped by placing the racks closer together. It installs in sheetrock, but does not come with solid anchors, you would have to get those at the hardware store yourself if you want to guarantee racks won't pull out of the wall. And the shelf brackets use two hooks to connect to the rack. More standardized sturdy shelving uses four bracket hooks for one shelf bracket. I could not buy these dimensions of 2 hook brackets in home depot or lowes to add to this set either. The hooks and shelves in this set are not available individually in stores. To get a third shelf with two more brackets, i had to order a second set! If you need strength, go to home depot/lowes and get the four hook brackets, racks, shelving and solid wall anchors individually for the same price or less.
