Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. These disc magnets are 0.500 inch (12.7mm) diameter and 0.063 inch (1.6mm) thick. They are magnetized through the thickness. They are composed of grade 40 neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Their individual pull force is approximately 2 lbs. Max Working Temperature - 176 F (80 C).

These are not the cheesy magnets you would pick up from the planetarium/science store 10 or 20 years ago. These are high strength magnets that allow you to do amazing things around the house and office.

Do note that because of thinness of these magnets compared to their magnetic strength, you may crack/break them if using a tool (like pliers)to pry them off a surface they are stuck to.

Geeky fun.
