5 out of 5 stars Brita is the best !   November 25, 2008

Great product. Earlier I tried local brands but did not like them. Finally got back to Brita. I got 10 pack for about 35$. Thanks Amazon for having this deal earlier.

1 out of 5 stars Nothing Should Be Floating In Your Water   November 19, 2008

In the beginning Brita Replacement Filters were an outstanding idea that complimented the pitcher system. For the first couple of years the filters worked great. Somewhere along the line beginning in 2007, Brita decided to go cheap and introduce a much maligned filter. br / br /The filters look the same, but that is where it ends. No matter how long one soaks the filter, carbon residue still shows up in the reservoir and in the water. At first I thought it was just a bad batch of filters. br / br /After contacting Brita Customer Service about the issue, I returned the filters. Two weeks later, the new replacement filters arrived. Sadly, same story, same problem. Brita recommends soaking the filter 15 minutes before installing. I soak mine for 3 hours and still the same result. Upon contacting Brita Customer Service again I was casually informed " the carbon particles are normal and will not hurt humans." Enough said. br / br /The bottom line is for the price paid for this product and combined with all the issues with clean water, there should be absolutely nothing floating in my water. The fact that NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) still allows its stamp to be placed on this product is simply amazing.

5 out of 5 stars What else can I say: it does what its supposed to   November 19, 2008

Does what it's supposed to. I only drink Brita Filter water in my apartment because the water from the faucet is usually brown with minerals and tastes horrible. I got this 10 pack for $33 shipped. Best price ever. Supermarket sells these things for $6 or $7. I got mine for $3.30 each.

4 out of 5 stars Brita water filters   November 17, 2008

I've been using Brita Water Filters for several years. I can see the difference using them makes. The water pipes in my area have sediment in them which shows up as a brown slimly coating on certain surfaces like bathroom walls and plastic cups after washing them when they have dried. We use the filtered tap water to make powered milk and in cooking. I change the filters about every 3 months.

5 out of 5 stars Great Filter   November 7, 2008

Work wekk and as advertised although there is a constant back up of carbon particles into the water BEING filtered - fyi of no concern.
