Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Make a quick, simple job of coring apples and pears for baking, canning or fruit salads with this ergonomic tool.

Amazon.com Review
Round, perfect apple rings are simple with this corer by Oxo. With itsdurable stainless-steel head, it slices swiftly through fruit; just shake it to get the core out of the tool. Use it to make pristine baked apples and apple rings, or try it with pears. A soft, oversized, nonslip rubber handle absorbs the pressure the work puts on your hands. With a large hole for hanging, storage is easy. Cleanup is easy, as well--like all Oxo Good Grips tools, this is dishwasher-safe. I--Laurie Notaro/I

5 out of 5 stars Excellent tool. surprisingly hard to find in local stores   December 2, 2008
Thomas T. Rohrig (Lubbock, TX USA)
This corer is an excellent tool for making it much easier to eat fruits like pears, apples, etc. and not have to nibble around the non-edible parts or use a knife to cut around the non-edible parts. br / br / I was very surprised, also, at how hard it was to find this tool locally. I checked several food stores and department stores without luck. br / br / It's well constructed and rugged. I have had no problems with the many fruits I have cored with it! The easy grip handle also makes it easier to use. br / br / My godmother, who I purchased one for also, was also very happy with it! She had never used one before and said that it was excellent for eating all types of fruits. br / br / This is an excellent tool and I highly recommend it! br / br /

5 out of 5 stars Great tool   December 1, 2008
J. A. Kirkham (Oregon)
This is exactly what I was looking for to core lots of apples for drying. This tool is easy to use; it makes this type of chore so much easier. I looked at other reviews before I purchased this kitchen tool; they were right on as to its usefulness.

I bought it two months ago and I have been using it almost everyday. I love it!

5 out of 5 stars Core out!   November 4, 2008
Eberyl Alford (Orange County California)
I was a bit concerned that the core would stick in the tool, but it was easy to dislodge. It is really great to be able to core an apple and use it whole.

5 out of 5 stars Wish I bought one years ago   October 8, 2008
Steve Pinehurst (Pinehurst, NC USA)
Works great - it makes apples duck soup to prepare. I use it on small apples, which have smaller cores. I core an apple then nibble the core before discarding. It's as twist, push, through, pull, and nibble. br / br /Apples are such a great snack that I no longer reach for junk food.
