I purchased this pole primarily to cut a pecan tree branch. This branch, (actually part of the main truck of a 30 plus year old tree)was snapped during hurricane Ike. The branch was about 30 feet up and still connected to the tree. I used my tractor w/pallet forks to get me up part way. The saw cut thru the green hardwood like butter. The little saw makes a very aggressive cut. I did notice some vibration which caused the saw to bounce some. This wasn't to bad but worth mentioning. I did see tanaka sells extensions for this saw offering even greater reach. The quality control that went in to making this saw is apparent the minuite you take it out of the box.Attaching the saw to the string trimmer is not quick attach. It will take about 10-15 minutes. This inconvience can be mitigated by planning your work ahead of time. In other words plan on doing all your tree pruning at once to avoid having to switch back and forth. Despite the inconvincience of not being a true quick attach accessory i'm very happy with my purchase.
