Infomercial Got Me September 6, 2008 T. Weary I typically don't buy anything I see on an infomercial, but the multimaster looked like just the tool I needed. I must say, it was worth it. Expensive, but extremely flexible. I used it to repair a pull down attic staircase, cut copper pipes, and remove old glue from a vinyl floor. I was also able to cut a section of facial board without removing it from the house. I give this 5 stars because it's a great tool.
Fein Multimaster August 30, 2008 Shamus O'Reilly This is a tool which was too heavy for me. It is good for cutting wood, but the blade dulled quickly. Replacement blades are very expensive. It wasn't for me.
Multi Multi Master August 23, 2008 J. Sullivan (Lexington, KY) Had it a month and already it has proven to be an excellent multi-use power tool with the flexibility to complete the most challenging task with ease. With awesome array of blades and attachments.
I'm Sold ! August 18, 2008 Wayne A. Wilson (Tallmadge, OH USA) I'm an advid DIY'er and tool nut so this tool has always intrigued me. After watching the info-mercials for about 6 weeks I decided to investigate further. I talked with the service tech at a highly reputable tool store to see if I could find some fault in the ad. What got me was as he was telling me how awesome the tool was and how everything on the TV commercial is true, the guy next to me said he owned 3 and bought a 4th for his brother-in-law! At $400 a piece I was impressed. Next step was to read all the reviews here at Amazon which were also impressive. So I purchased one and after owning it for just over 3 weeks I find myself grabing for it more and more. It cuts carpet like butter, scrapes adhesives with ease, cuts wood with surgical presision, and sands like a dream. I haven't even scratched the surface of it's possibilities. One word of caution which I learned the hard way, is not to use it for hardend concrete nails as I ruined a blade. If I have another tool that will work better I use it. I still think it and the accessories are over priced but I don't regret buying it and it is rapidly becoming one of my favorite tools. Like the guy at the hardware store told me, once you get over the initial purchase, you won't look back and regret it.
pretty junk August 13, 2008 Michael H. Branigin (connecticut) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
the video looks good, but i used it to cut plywood subflooring -- after cutting 1 foot the blade came apart at the spot-welds. A replacement blade costs $57. $57/foot is very expensive. Simply stated, this is a toy, not intended for anything like serious work.
