| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The NaturSoftTM System represents the superior alternative with respect to dealing with the symptoms of water hardness without resorting to ion exchange (salt or potassium) based systems. The amount of wasted water and release of salt into the environment has increasingly become unacceptable. When deployed in a system, the NaturSoftTM media does not require any regular maintenance. NaturSoftTM media does not participate in any reactions it merely promotes them. Therefore, the material is not sacrificial and it does not get consumed resulting in its exceptional long life.

Hard Water + High Acidity Water is a Complex Problem October 30, 2008 Mary A. Kulla (CT) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had the NaturSoft installed 3 weeks ago. It is doing something but I still have calcium deposits on my dishes. This could be because there is so much build-up in our house's plumbing. It could be because the neutralizer is not adjusted correctly. It could be that the dishwasher is not working properly. Or it could be that this product is not working correctly. I plan to have my plumber back in a week or two to retest our water and I will add to this review at that time.
Dont own this September 8, 2008 Rajeev Sharma (Las Vegas) 1 out of 12 found this review helpful
I dont own this but was in the market for a water softner and was curious while researching and find the other user's opinion very valuable when he mentions nothing softens water better than a salt based conventional system.
Garbage April 11, 2008 David Kertscher 15 out of 21 found this review helpful
A customer of mine installed this unit 6 months ago and is not getting the results that soft water should produce. He ended up removing the unit and going with a metered softener from Culligan. What Pelican doesn't tell you is that the media inside the unit will not last longer than 5 years and needs to be replaced. A traditional water softener resin will last more than 20 years. There are a lot of alternative "softening" methods, but nothing works like traditional softening using salt.
