3 out of 5 stars Troy-Bilt Super Bronco Tiller   September 30, 2008
R. T. Clopton (Kathleen, Georgia)
I am enjoying this tiller - I've just used it about 6 - 8 hours so far - I would say - The only complaint I would have - or suggestion to Troy-Bilt - is concerning the handles - As designed the handles and support bars are not substantial enough to manipulate the tiller without some bending/warping. I know this is a smaller piece of equipment than the "horse" and I am satisfied with the power and performance of the tiller - However it still needs to be manipulated in the garden, turned around to go from row to row. The handles are just TOO FLIMSY to accomplish this satisfactorily. br / br /T. Clopton

4 out of 5 stars Gets the Job Done   August 21, 2008

The customers giving this a bad review probably don't do a lot of yard work. Once you figure out how to use it, it is a work horse and I tilled my entire front and back yards of hard clay. You do need some upper body strength to change direction etc. I learned not to push down on the handle and just let it do the work. The engine is very reliable and starts right up. My only issue is the weight. It needs to be heavier over the tillers to be able to push into hard soil so I just added my own from my old weight lifting set and viola.

3 out of 5 stars To Small   November 25, 2007

This tiller is to small for anything but flower postage stamp size gardens. I hate the fact it has no nuetral gear which makes it impossible to move without starting the engine. It has one speed only, SLOW!!! Not really adequate for a real garden. To expensive for the limited use.

I looked at tillers for several weeks after my old one of thirty years cratered. Man have they increased in cost. My old one was a front tine tiller, because of the type of soil we have here in south east Texas, a friend suggested that I look into a rear tine tiller, so I started looking and decided on a Troy-Bilt Super Bronco. Should have gotten one year ago, it does such a good job I have enlarged the size of my garden. Best of all I found it on sale and saved $200 at Amazon.com

5 out of 5 stars great tiller for the price   October 3, 2007

i bought this tiller about two years ago and it still starts easy after sitting in the off season i always run all my power equpipment using sta-bil gas treatment and yes you might be able to use it with one hand once the garden area that you are tilling has been worked through a couple of times but it makes short work of all soils some of the areas that i tried it out on had not been tilled for 20 years and it went right though the soil with no problems all you have to do is use the palm of you hand and lift the tiller along as it says in the owners manuel that comes with this tiller and you can't beat the free shipping also i find that you will have no problems with a small to medium sized gardens and yes if you don't want to sweat or think that it is going to be effortless then i too recomend that you hire someone with a small tractor to come in and work up your soil but i find that over all for the price and the lifetime warrenty on the drive you can't beat a troy-bilt tiller
