Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Above All Co. The Forearm Forklift moving straps were designed in 1997 by a professional mover who is still very active in the industry. After many years "on the truck" he felt compelled to invent a tool that actually eliminated the risk of floor damage. A claim that only the Forearm Forklift can make since the dolly and hand truck require the rolling of wheels on your sensitive floors. Coincidentally, he also designed them ergonomically to encourage proper lifting techniques and body mechanics. They are actually the first and only OSHA accepted moving tool ever to reduce potential injuries due to heavy and repetitive lifting. brbrBenefits:br Reduces weight of item being carried by 66% br Creates handles on any hard-to-handle pieces br Great for going up and down most stairs or truck ramps br Tight turning radius (excellent for 90 degree turns in hallways and switchbacks in staircases) br Will never scratch wood floors, break tile, stain carpets or rip vinyl (linoleum) brbrThe Forearm Forklift was awarded "Best New Product of the Year 1999" by the Industrial Equipment News whose constituents are solely top professionals in the business. brbrSpecification:br Adjustability: up to 48 inches br Weight Capacity: 600 pounds per pair (tested at 2,720 pounds) br Material: super strength webbing, bonded thread at each joint and padding in each insert br Padding: felt for comfort in any adjusted length br Color: improved/changed to safety orange br Dimensions: 9 feet 4 inches long br Weight: 1 pound per pair br Package Dimensions: 8 inches wide by 9 inches tall by 2.5 inches deep br Package Contents: 2 straps

4 out of 5 stars made moving (almost) a breeze   November 24, 2008
Todd Spivak (Hyde Park, NY)
this product worked exactly as described. It enabled my fiance and I to move a washer/dryer set, and heavy furniture just between the two of us.

These things sound great....maybe it's just me, but they do not work very well....would not recommend.

These do not work. Don't read the rest of the reviews. Just trust me when I say these do not help you to move a tv, mattress, or fridge --if you are not initially strong enough to move them! These straps will barely help you. Just move it the old fashioned way.

5 out of 5 stars Simple Yet Efficient   September 1, 2008

This is truly a back saver. It's easy to use, has no moving parts to break and a bargain for the price. Using this item will insure lifting without pain or injury. The adjustment makes it perfect for individuals of varying heights.

5 out of 5 stars Definately worth the money   August 25, 2008

These helped out tremendously when we moved. We moved mattresses, box frames, entertainment center, the refrigerator, and a very heavy treadmill. It helps since you can maneuver around with them while they "float." br / br /A lady friend of ours helped move the treadmill just to try them out. Not sure about going up/down stairs, but i'd imagine it would be easier if you position the item higher by using the 3rd lowest arm hole.
