OVERRATED ! DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE November 25, 2008 Clarence M. Bright (Chicago, IL) This is a copy of the original HZ515 made ( 2 ) years ago by another manufacture. This is a poor copy of the original; The heater cord on the newest version is ribbon thin compared to the originals 14 Gauge cord which was heavy duty thick and round. There is only one seting for power on this newest version, the original had two setting one for 700 watts and another for 1500 watts. The new version requires that you crank it all the way to the right before you notice any real heat. I could go on and on about this heater. Once again corporate America has screwed the consumer with a bad made in China copy of an original heater.
would buy a second November 23, 2008 Donna Ketcheson Easy and effective to use. Bought it because consumer reports gave it a high rating. It does a great job in a smaller room; seems safe. Nice heater
The heater that can. November 22, 2008 D. LAWSON (OHIO) This heater measures up to its name. Attactive-quiet-easy to use and economical. Best used with a small fan to improve air circulation.
Heater November 17, 2008 Kate NY (NY) I've been using this in an unheated sunroom. It works well and keeps the room warm. It does not have a setting dial so its 'hit miss' by turning the dial. That is annoying because you need to keep checking the room temps and turning the dial up or down. Also, there are two lights which should go on and off when the heater turns on. They do not work. I didn't want to go through the trouble of returning it because of the lights. br / br /Otherwise, it keeps the room warm, and is slim and attractive.
Quiet warmth November 16, 2008 Teresa Leslie (Hartford CT USA) We bought this heater to take the chill off the den for a couple of hours when we watch TV on cold nights. Even at a low setting it spreads warmth throughout the room. We like the fact that there is no noise other than the occasional click when the heater cycles on. While we had a good spot for the appliance I can imagine that its size might be a problem in a very small room. However for our 13' x 11' space we found a great spot. I think in this coming Northeast winter, when our thermostats are set extra low to save oil, our heater will be a real boon.
