4 out of 5 stars Doesn't just blow hot air   October 21, 2008
Jeffrey Fowler (Portland, Oregon)
OK, it does just blow hot air. A no heat setting would be welcome for cooling after heating. br / br /Well made tool, great heat control. This model lacks the digital temperature readout but it is not an issue and just adds complexity with more to go wrong. br / br /The only real issue I have is the exposed metal tip. Seems that a simple guard would be an easy addition. Far too easy to burn yourself or others that are not aware. A no heat setting could also be used to cool the tip after use. br / br /This review probably has a little bias as I picked it up for a really good price; ten bucks less than the fixed heat Milwaukee gun from Home Depot. I doubt I would have paid the full price of $125 for it as my needs are relatively simple. br / br /However, removing an emblem from the trunk of a car required less heat than a fixed heat gun provided to avoid damaging the paint but enough to soften the adhesive. This was the perfect tool.

Works for our dental lab just like we were hoping. br /Adjustable heat and fan work great.
